Melissa was born and raised in Armidale NSW. She completed a Bachelor of Financial Administration at the University of New England in Armidale, in 1996 and worked in a local accounting firm until she moved to Sydney in 1998.

Melissa worked for Court & Co (now Nexia Australia) and then Young Barnsdall (now Pitcher Partners NSW) where she started as a senior accountant and progressed to a supervisor role in business services. She completed additional studies to become a Chartered Accountant while assisting her husband, Andrew Cooper, in the early 2000’s to build Cooper Business Services Pty Ltd.

Melissa has become an integral part of our team as the office manager at MJT Partners and is responsible for ASIC and ATO compliance, tax return lodgements and liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients.
